With a little more than two weeks to go before Christmas Eve, what does everyone here wish to find underneath their Christmas trees?

:santa2: my cousin sissy's b'day is on the 24th. i am making a helluva of plans 4rm scary story-telling to pillow-fighting,having midnight snacks, shouting "merry christmas" at the middle of the night when everyone is dead asleep...pretty much planning to spend the night awake n do every crazy things that comes to our mind! when three girls are together(including my sis), we shall make it memorable! :presents:
since christmas is not a very big and happening thing here(compared to European countries),i have a wish list that i hope will come true someday. like having a bonfire, singing christmas carols, and watching a snowfall. we have a place called Park Street here which is a visual treat on christmas. the place, with its churches and the christian community,is a magnetic centre on christmas and new year's eve. however, with people swarming all over the place like bees, i have never been brave enough to spend a christmas night there.
one more thing...i love fruit cakes which have dry fruits and nuts at every bite!

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL OF YOU!!!!! :cosychristmas: :xmastree: :snowman2: :shakepresent: :xmascandle:

What is everyone wishing for this year?

For me it's the same as every other year, mostly LOTS of DVD's

Dexter Season 3
Dallas Season 1 (the new show)
The Big Bang Theory Season 5
The Specialist
The Sons of Katie Elder
Dark Angel

and some others I can't think of at the moment.

This year I'm wishing for a whole lot of movies, made a list of perhaps 20 titles I'd love to add to my collection, doesn't matter exactly which ones I get. Among them are:

Grapes of Wrath
The Trouble With Harry
Shadow of a Doubt
Flight
Kelly's Heroes
Airport

Other than movies I really want a big Miles Davis set with 20 CD's that I've been eyeing for a while, and a Rocky-themed T-shirt.

How about the rest of you?

As always, I'm wishing for movies underneath my Christmas tree this year, a whole bunch of them. Most importantly though, my biggest Christmas wish yet is to have my unborn son to arrive in time for the holidays. That would be a great Christmas gift for the whole family.

My Christmas presents arrived yesterday from my sister in Birmingham. One was a French magazine totally devoted to SECRET OF THE INCAS from January 1962. The movie must have been reissued in France in 1962, eight years after its premiere in America. The other book was about the Seven Wonders of the World, and the chapter on Machu Picchu is called THE SECRETS OF THE INCAS!

A couple of great presents you got there, James! Did you know what the package contained or was it a surprise when you opened it?

Well, not exactly a surprise, Thorn. I just happened to google the words "Heston Maurey ebay" and was delighted to see that the French magazine on SECRET OF THE INCAS I had always wanted to acquire for my collection was now on sale. My sister rang me just at that moment and I told her of my exciting little find. "Let me buy it for you, James!" she said, and it arrived with that other book on the Seven Wonders of the World, which had a chapter on Machu Picchu.

So not exactly a surprise ... but I aint complaining about my sisters presents, no siree!
