Thanks for the tip! Was he in any other episodes of that show or was it a one-time thing?

Heston was only in one episode of THE TWO RONNIES, Thorn. This is my review on the IMDb-

==================================================================

Christmas Night with the Two Ronnies (1987) (TV)
4 out of 5 people found the following review useful:
Classic Christmas fayre, 21 April 2005
The Two Ronnies final show, shown on BBC1 on Christmas Day, 1987, was also one of their finest. In a hilarious sketch, PINOCCHIO II KILLER DOLL, a send-up of the Disney cartoon feature, the cast included Charlton Heston, Frank Finlay, Alfred Marks, Denis Quilley, Lynda Baron and squeaky voiced Sandra Dickinson. Heston was playing Sir Thomas More in A MAN FOR ALL SEASONS at London's Savoy Theatre at the time, and agreed to do a cameo. He plays a drinker at "The Jolly Breathalyser Inn" who bellows "Hey, keep it down for God's sake!" at Finlay and Quilley, who are camping it up outrageously during a rendition of "An actors life for me". Considering Heston's serious reputation it amuses me that during his long and varied career he has appeared with some of England's greatest comedians and comic actors, including Roy Kinnear, Ronnie Barker, Ronnie Corbett, Graham Stark, Spike Milligan and Ken Dodd.

==============================================================================

Thorn, you might be able to get a cheaper dvd than the £8 one advertised. The one I bought was just £3 - but there are several options. Just google THE TWO RONNIES CHRISTMAS SHOWS DVD and the one with Heston in the Pinocchio sketch is the 1987 one. There are at least three to choose from - and they are all a great laugh!

I'm going to be in London this weekend, maybe I can pick up a copy at Harrods?

Wasn't this previously unreleased? Where did you get it?

I arrived home from my late shift last night, picked up my mail and then immediately put the telly on to see my favourite team Arsenal against Manchester United, which had about 15 fifteen minutes left to play of the first half. When half-time arrived I opened my mail and THE PRESIDENT'S LADY had arrived. Quickly putting the dvd into my machine I was pleasently surprised by the sharp quality of the print and sound.
After a few minutes I ejected the film because the game was going to resume.

I was happy with my purchase and even happier that Arsenal beat Manchester United!
