The first ever Bimonthly Newsletter from the Charlton Heston Forums has now been sent to all members. For those who prefer reading it on the forum, here it is:

What you are now reading is the first Bimonthly Newsletter of the Charlton Heston Forums! These newsletters will contain news in the world of Charlton Heston fans, such as upcoming releases of his movies on DVD & Blu-ray, upcoming soundtrack releases, interesting videos posted online, news regarding the forum, current topics deserved of special mention and more!

Let’s kick off the newsletter with some upcoming DVD & Blu-ray news!


*Collectors of Charlton Heston movies on DVD will be thrilled to hear there’s finally an official release of Secret of the Incas in the format. Italy has officially released it and James Byrne, who we all know as the biggest authority on everything related to Secret of the Incas, gave it a glorious review in the Secret of the Incas thread.

*Some months ago, Twilight Time announced that Khartoum is being released on January 22nd. Other than the obligatory Theatrical Trailer, there are some exclusive special features for this release. We get an Isolated Score Track and an Audio Commentary featuring Film Historians Lem Dobbs, Julie Kirgo and Nick Redman. The Blu-ray is limited to 3000 copies and is now available for pre-order on this link: ... TOUM-1966/

*The Agony and the Ecstasy has been announced for an upcoming Blu-ray release in America on March 4th. It’s not up for pre-order yet, when it will be it will be posted in this thread: new-charlton-heston-releases-on-dvd-blu-ray-t11-210.html


*For a long time the soundtrack for Airport 1975, which was only released in Japan, has been Out of Print and in high demand, resulting in very expensive copies being offered on eBay and Amazon. Thankfully, Universal Japan has given it a second pressing and it is now available for only 19.93 dollars on Amazon: ... 09&sr=1-1&

*Kritzerland Records, who last year released the double-score CD to Secret of the Incas and The Far Horizons, is releasing for the first time ever the complete release of the music from The Buccaneer. It is limited to 1000 copies and they are going fast even though it is not released yet! The copies in their own store has been sold out but it is still being sold here: ... 0-EDITION/
