For years, there's been rumors of a Soylent Green remake being made. Those rumors are still floating around. Nothing is confirmed yet, but it definitely seems to be a possibility.

What do you think of this could-be project? Do you support it or do you think it would be a waste of film?

:soylent:

No one has an opinion about a possible remake of our beloved Soylent Green?

I'm still waiting to see the original! If I see it first and love it, I would probably hate a remake....you are one of the few who seems to agree with me about TAT remake, you know!

I believe most were against it at first, but when push came to shove, people chose to support the remake despite it all :( I'm glad I'm not alone in boycotting the movie though

For those of you who were wondering, we're talking about The A-Team

But the question for this thread is: Will you see a SOYLENT GREEN remake if one is made?

I may watch it, in an illegal kind of way, since I don't want to support a remake that I'm 100% against with any money. Reason I may watch it is because it could be a "hot topic" to discuss here on the forum when it's out.

If a remake is done, will the studio try to do and adaptation of Mr. Heston's version or will they do and adaptation of the novel Make Room Make Room?

If they do the latter, then the movie will not resemble Soylent Green at all.

Makes one wonder how this will turn out. ;)

My guess is they'll take bits & parts from both the book and movie and mash it together.

Till now this rumour has not yet yielded any fruit, isn't it? The discussion here has long been stopped, but iFFf I am to give my opinion--- fine, I think I should watch it, to see how ridiculous the remakers can be, to laugh at them, and to shout, " Now SOYLENT GREEN IS...
Spoiler:
FOOLISH PEOPLE!

A remake of Soylent Green... hmm... I think I'm too scared of the possibility that this would turn into a Michael Bay/Shia LaBeouf fiasco to want to see it happen.
