I am on the process of creating a 'My Documents'- archive in my PC, collecting pictures of souvenirs and programs of Heston-movies. Here are some pics to share with you. Hope I don't need to tell you which souvenir goes with which movie ;) :

Nice. Do you buy these as well?

I have the following souvenir brochures of Heston movies that I bought at the cinema-
BEN-HUR (later signed in person by Chuck)
EL CID (later signed in person by Chuck)
THE TEN COMMANDMENTS
ANTONY AND CLEOPATRA (later signed in person by Chuck)
THE AGONY AND THE ECSTASY
KHARTOUM
55 DAYS AT PEKING
THE GREATEST STORY EVER TOLD (two different brochures but I mislaid one of them!)

I also had THE WAR LORD (which was actually the most impressive but my young son loved the movie that much that he tore the pages out and stuck them on his wall!) THE WAR LORD was printed on beautiful glossy paper - the cover and the photos had to be seen to be believed.

I was born after these brochures were most common, not sure if they were ever that common in Sweden. Thankfully, there's always eBay.

The only two brochures I haven't got are THE GREATEST SHOW ON EARTH and THE PRINCE AND THE PAUPER. I never saw a brochure on sale at the cinema when TPATP was playing, but then, I always went on a Saturday - my day off. They had probably all been sold by then.

I never saw THE GREATEST SHOW ON EARTH at a cinema, it won the best picture oscar in 1952, the year I was born.

I just received the Will Penny Pressbook; I was able to get it pretty cheap on eBay ($5 + shipping). This is a large-style program book, 12" x 15".
This is the front cover:

Here are first couple of pages; it's like a short newspaper (16 pgs), just about one film:

Here's the centerfold; note the center poster, stressing a romance :

Also included with the above pressbook was a copy of The Herald.
This is a small 4-page brochure which (I think) could be picked up in theater lobbies
(or maybe these were passed out in the neighborhood or posted around)

Excuse the out-of-focus in the middle; it wasn't laying flat on the scanner; but, you get the gist of it.
It may just be me, but the promotional tagline here of "...just as hard as he could hate!" seems too melodramatic to me for this more subtle type of film. I think they sort of blew it in promoting this film this way. Here are the two center pages:

Thanks for these! I've never liked that tagline, either.

Thanks - the only reason I have it is because of the low price (5 dollars plus shipping). I was also interested in the Midway pressbook on eBay, but that one was being offered at 25 dollars or 5 times the price. I decided to pass on that one. :(
