Hey, anyone here ever seen "Airplane!"? There are no direct references to Chuck or his contributions to the disaster genre with flicks like this and Airport 1975 but it's a pretty funny send up of the genre overall.

Oh yeah, of course! It's one of the funniest damned movies ever made with lots of classic quotes. I'd say it's the best spoof behind the first Naked Gun movie. Of all the Airport movies, it spoofs Airport 1975 the most, which is fun.

Rumack: Can you fly this plane, and land it?
Ted Striker: Surely you can't be serious.
Rumack: I am serious... and don't call me Shirley.

Yep, good times.

They say "Airplane" was based very much on a film called "Zero Hour" but you can see a lot of Airport and other 70s disaster flicks in it.
