If you want to write to Lydia Heston and send her warm greetings, her address is

2859 Coldwater Canyon
Beverly Hills,
California 90210
U.S.A.

James, have you ever sent Lydia a greeting since the passing of Heston?

No, Thorn, I usually tell Fraser Heston to pass on my best wishes, on birthdays, etc.

Lydia Heston doesn't live at the above address anymore. The estate is up for sale.

What is her present address, then?

How fortunate is the person who is going to buy the estate!

Too bad they didn't keep it in their family. I wonder why they are selling? Too much space for Lydia, I guess?

Do we have a thread dedicated to pictures of their house here on the forum? If not, that article had some great pictures that could make it a great thread.

I wrote this in an earlier blog:

The director of SECRET OF THE INCAS was Jerry Hopper, and the very first film he directed was a cracking Cold War thriller called THE ATOMIC CITY which starred Mrs Heston herself, Lydia Clarke. I would have really enjoyed talking to Lydia about Jerry Hopper and that wonderful movie, which was the first time that a major film studio was granted permission to film inside Los Alamos, New Mexico, where the atomic bomb was birthed. I would have also asked her what part she played in THE GREATEST SHOW ON EARTH, which is still a mystery to fans of that terrific circus movie.

The mystery has been finally solved. I found this quote from "The Brooklyn Daily Eagle," 10 February 1952, which interviewed Lydia and Chuck.

Lydia Heston has a small part in THE GREATEST SHOW ON EARTH, just a walk-on, mingling with the crowd that crawls out of the wrecked circus train.

Thanks for the detective work! :sherlock:

Yes, Thorn, it's on line. Just google Brooklyn Daily Eagle, and then search for any info on there.
