I have just watched PONY EXPRESS on Film 4 and really enjoyed it. What made me laugh was the announcer describing Heston as a "postman" as she introduced the movie to us. Hilarious!

It was a mini Hest-Fest on Four this afternoon. Just as PONY EXPRESS finished I switched over to Channel 4 and EARTHQUAKE had just started, showing in widescreen.

Hi Tizzyd
The tv announcer on Channel 4 in England said something along the lines of ... "And now on 4 Charlton Heston stars as a postman delivering the mail for the PONY EXPRESS". Buffalo Bill being described as a postman just broke me up!

Watched this a couple of weeks ago. Not quite up there with "The Big Country", "Major Dundee" or "Will Penny" but still a decent showcase for Chuck's larger than life self.

Agreed, definitely not one of his best.
