Good to hear, James. In my experience a lot of catalogue titles released in Spain often have pretty terrible audio and video quality. Glad that wasn't the case this time!

I agree Thorn. The Heston dvd I received from abroad, THE PRIVATE WAR OF MAJOR BENSON, is the worst quality thing I have ever ordered on the net. Total diabolical mess - and they didn't even give me a refund!

I am only missing one Heston movie from my collection now, THE PIGEON THAT TOOK ROME, and then I own them all. I have even ordered an 'unofficial' Heston movie, THE JAYNE MANSFIELD STORY, starring Schwarzenegger, as well. Footage of Heston and Lydia arriving at a Premiere is in the movie.

Where is that movie released? Maybe I've forgotten there is a legitimate release of it?

It hasn't been released Thorn, I told someone at work that I only needed THE PIGEON THAT TOOK ROME on dvd to complete my Heston filmography, and the next day he gave me a copy, for the princely sum of £1.38p.

Apparently he took it from the youtube version on the net, the quality isn't brilliant but its better than nothing. Its certainly watchable though, and it was great viewing the movie again after all these years.

Oh, I see. One day it will hopefully be officially released.

I just bought this http://www.ebay.com/itm/The-Pigeon-That ... 1230090494, a dvd of THE PIGEON THAT TOOK ROME. Will inform you of the quality when it arrives. It is advertised as being wide screen, so it sounds good to me.

I bought this http://www.amazon.com/Vietnam-Charlton- ... B005HZCABU but didn't like it very much. Some of the scenes in it are quite disturbing.

That's a new one for me. It is often written about Heston being against the Vietnam War, but he starred in a propaganda film for it? Could you tell us more about it?
