This is kind of a neither here-nor-there type of post, but maybe some other member here might find it interesting: earlier today, I happened to be watching an old episode of the old "Kung Fu" series (which starred David Carradine) titled "The Tide" - first broadcast back in 1973. I was surprised to see as guest stars in this one episode both Tina Chen and Mako, who had previously acted together in THE HAWAIIANS. They played sister and brother in this episode. In THE HAWAIIANS, they played servants to Heston's Whip Hoxworth character, but I can't remember what their relationship was, whether also sister & brother, or maybe niece and uncle. Their roles in THE HAWAIIANS were pretty substantial, at least in comparison to most of the other actors, because, besides Heston, everyone else had a somewhat minor role in the film. Actually, after checking the DVD cover, I realize that they may have played wife & husband in the film...

They were indeed husband and wife in the movie.
