So many memorable quotes are there, I don't how far selective one can be. Yet I am trying to do my best.

1. Luta's remark on Chuck's character, who looks upon her witha simple brotherly affection: "man of stone, man who sees no woman, man of no love. Blind one!"

2. The old chief's only request to his adopted son, brought on trial; 'My son... Don't bring disgrace to my name."

3. This is a 'savage'-version of a proto-Moses role for Chuck. I can never forget his "Is it the pigment of a man's skin that makes him a Miniconju...? Is it the colour of his eyes? No, neither of these things. It is the beating inside his body."

4. His words as a peacemaker: "I do not ask for sympathy. I am here to stop you from destroying yourselves." I'm not going to make political comments, but I can't help mentioning that these are fit words for one who was an admirer of Gandhiji and Martin Luther King.
