Bravo, Knight! I think I can figure out most of them. The top-left one is the Harry-Steele portrait. The others are -- Steve Leech, El Cid, Mat Lewiss(55 Days),Gordon, Michelangelo(twice), Taylor(twice), Judah, Major Dundee(the cartoon-one with a prominet jaw), Neville, Thorn, Will Penny, Moses . The last one is not of any character I think, it is simply our Chuck.

By the way, no other artist (except myself!)seems to have dared to portray the Fire Lord. Mark it!

Judah, you missed out Chuck as Boake Tackman in RUBY GENTRY (top right).

Here's an interesting sketch of Chuck (everyone here probably can figure out which character & film - though it fits a couple of his films, as it happens) by someone who was expecting Heston at some Dragon-con so that Heston would sign it, but Heston didn't make it there; this was in 1997. So, no signature... but there still is the sketch -- plus an amusing caption from some obscure fantasy property.

Wait a minute, was he supposed to have appeared at Dragon Con? I didn't know Heston did conventions??

Yeah, I was just going by what the blogger wrote - for all we know he was misinformed or is just making it up.

But, here's the actual blog - you can read the full paragraph there: http://fishflavoredbaseballbat.blogspot ... chive.html
(move down a bit when you go there; the Heston mention is about 3 entries down)

Thanks, Chrysagon. What an experience that could have been, to meet one of the most legendary actors of all time - at a convention!

Some actors feel they're above that, I'm glad Chuck wasn't one of them.

Behold, this is the portrait that graces Chuck's drawingroom. Wonderful art, in my view.

Is that the painting on the background of the interview he did with Michael Moore?

Three profile-portraits in oil painting, featuring what transformations Chuck underwent to become 'Moses'. Magnificent paintings done by Wally Westmore, the make-up supervisor of the TEN COMMANDMENTS, commissioned by DeMille.
