I love that sort of trivia as well, James. Do you know if the eyepatch was on the same eye for all the roles he wore one?

In FORBIDDEN AREA Heston had the patch on his right eye, but in THE FUGITIVE EYE and TRUE LIES it was the left eye.

I wish THE FUGTIVE EYE was available to buy ... Heston as a one eyed circus strongman with a thick Irish brogue sounds unmissable, Thorn.

And here's a bit more trivia for you, Thorn. Leo G. Carroll was in THE FUGITIVE EYE, which means that Heston worked with all the main stars of the original 1960's classic THE MAN FROM U.N.C.L.E.

Robert Vaughn made his movie debut in THE TEN COMMANDMENTS, as a spearman, and one of the many Hebrews at the Golden Calf.

A decade later, David McCallum was Judas Iscariot in another Heston Biblical Epic, THE GREATEST STORY EVER TOLD.

Just did a bit of googling and apparently THE FUGITIVE EYE is available to buy here-

$39 is a bit too much to pay for the items, I'm not really interested in the other teleplays, only the Heston film. There is some information at the bottom of the advert which might put some people off, as well, regarding the quality of the films.

These episodes are in the PUBLIC DOMAIN and were transfered from the original films. This does not mean the episodes are pristine, just that they are complete and as originally broadcast in 1961. The quality varies episode to episode due to the age and condition of the original films.

All episodes originally were recorded from original film prints, NOT recorded off broadcast TV. These are custom made DVDs, not available commercially. All DVDs come with menus with episode titles for easy episode access.

Bootlegs, that's a shame. Would much rather have an officially licensed copy, but we may never get one.

Some of Heston's early work on tv which are available to buy are terrible quality. I watched THE WILLOW CABIN last night and the sound and picture were very substandard. Its a terrible shame that these are the only recordings of his early Studio One and Westinghouse shows.
