This is a gem of a movie that unfortunately a lot of people haven't seen. It didn't get much of a theater release except for some festivals, and to date has not been released on DVD in the States. It has, however, been released on DVD in Brazil (where some of it was filmed) and in Japan, due to Heston's huge popularity in that country.

Heston's performance in this movie was something very special, totally different from what he had played before. He personally asked the director of this movie for the part of Josef Mengele, because he thought it would be a great end to his long and successful career. The man was right, he delivered one of his best performances I've seen him in here. Heston added a very impressive German accent to his character, which makes it an even more memorable part.

I own the Brazilian DVD. I got it off of Ebay. It turns up very rarely on there, so if you see it, be quick and buy it before someone else does!

Yes, more people really need to get a copy of this one so that they can see Heston's very last (and very, very good) performance.

Keep checking out Ebay, it will turn up eventually. When it does, don't hesitate!

I think it's a very good movie, with a performance from Chuck you'll never ever forget! The DVD has an English track, so you don't hve to worry. Snatch it up right away when you see it on eBay!

Yeah, I just can't figure out how to order things on there unless there's a translator readily available. It would be like walking in the dark.
