Heston as Superman? That's a very, very interesting thought. You guys think he would have played the role well if it were made in the 60's?

Personally, I think it it would have worked better in the fifties, like a movie version of the George Reeves TV show, and Heston would have been the right age (younger). The reason I pegged it as a 'what if' poster from 1964 is due to the other actors which were plugged in: Reagan played his last role as a villain in the 1964 movie The Killers, so that fits very well for him; Suzanne Pleshette began to appear as a leading lady in films in the early sixties (Rome Adventure-'62;The Birds'63); and Robert Shaw became a mid-level star after his role in the 2nd James Bond film From Russia With Love (63). So, it all fits. To me, the thinking behind that poster is similar to how producers were planning to cast the 1978 Superman movie; before they cast unknown Christopher Reeve, several big seventies stars were considered - Burt Reynolds, Robert Redford, James Caan, Stallone etc. It sounds ridiculous now - to visualize the Man of Steel played by one of those well-known stars - but it was seriously considered back then. So, this sixties imagining of The Man of Steel is the same thing - plugging in a big star (Heston) as the famous super-hero, even if it doesn't really fit so well.

I agree. Chuck could do it well in the fifties, but how... oh how can they imagine Reagan in that role?

Someone has reimagined the Jurassic World with Chuck in it. See details at http://www.techtimes.com/articles/96491 ... -video.htm

That was some very clever editing! I like the inclusion of music from King Kong (1976 version) and Escape from New York.
