This is probably the final revision (see previous post and duplicate below). Besides finally adding James Byrne's final additions from 3 months ago, I also shifted Heston's role in Playhouse 90 "Forbidden Area" from Major to Colonel; for some reason, some sources list his rank here as Major - see here: http://ctva.biz/US/Anthology/Playhouse90.htm ...whereas in most places it's listed as Colonel. I finally confirmed it as a Colonel by watching the actual episode, thanks to another member here, CHfan2010, posting that a youtube video was available.

As a great Heston fan, I like the fact that you compiled this list, Chrysagon. It took a lot of effort and research, but the final result was worth it. I think this will surely be the final draft.
Keep up the good work!

How about updating this board to one of your spectacular pictorial posts?

The only problem I can forsee is finding photos of Heston in those early tv shows.

I hope you can find the time to do it, but the end result would be well worth all the effort.

May I help? Here are two pictures of the early TV-shows. The first one is from 'The Willow Cabin', the second from Playhouse 90 'Forbidden Area',the third from 'A bolt of lightning'.

I cannot locate a photo of Heston in the Studio One "Macbeth" (TV-1951), so there may be problems completing a pictorial version of Chrysagon's great post.

Yes, that would be an interesting result and, at the same time, time-consuming.
Just FYI, for such big posts, I would work them out on another free board that I had started simply for a location where I can take the time to create such elaborate posts. As you might guess, I didn't actually work on such posts here - these took the better part of a day or even work spread out over several days to complete, and I didn't want to keep working on such posts here when I might lose all the work while in the middle of it during a glitch or have members here respond to it when it's only half-finished. After I would finish & finalize such a large post, I would simply copy-&-paste it over here. This other board was a simple, old-style board with me as the only member and operator, hidden away on the internet. Well, the owner of the domain failed to upkeep, not paying the annual fee or something, so all the boards there (at phpbber.com) just disappeared about a couple of months ago, including all my drafts and 'copies' of the work I placed here.

Unfortunately, the boards at this other domain had been out-of-style and almost obsolete, old versions, and whomever was in charge just didn't bother continuing with them. This isn't some insurmountable problem, as I can just find some other way to create such posts; I do have a couple of options and ideas, but it takes some getting used to, working out such posts in a different way than I have been doing for the past 3 years or so. Anyway, I'll try to work something up in the next few days, perhaps...

I hope you can manage to do it Chrysagon, I always admire your pictorial presentations - and this one would be a first on the net!

How are you going to get a photo of Heston as MACBETH though?

I finally posted the Pictures Version of the RANKS List in the Pictures and Videos Folder, earlier today.

In the meantime, below is the slightly updated Ranks list, because I realized that Heston's role in the unreleased/unseen Gengis Khan film (1992) was that of a Warlord, so that role was shifted into the appropriate Warlord rank (6 on the list), away from 2 or King, which is where it was in the last Ranks list.
