There are a lot of movie and publicity stills of Chuck that I run across when I surf the net, pictures that seem to turn up more than others. I thought it would be a good idea to post some of these pictures in this thread. If you have any favorites, this is the place to post them!

If you're not quite sure what a movie/publicity still is, this explanation comes from Wikipedia:

A movie still(s) photographer is a photographer who usually works on set but is not directly involved in the making of a film/movie. They are usually employed by the movie's publicity team to take photographs to help publicize the movie in posters, magazines, newspapers, and other media.

So, you can post either pictures taken from an actual scene in a movie, or pictures that were taken in order to promote a movie.

Here are some personal favorites of mine:

Ben-Hur

(Heston used this one for the back cover of his autobiography In the Arena)

For some reason, Ben-Hur has the most impressive stills - maybe it's just me:

It doesn't surprise me one bit, it's such a beautiful movie.

Yes, no argument there. I still recall when I first acquired a decent home video version, probably a laserdisc version, about 15 years ago; the very first scene, in widescreen, of the Roman soldiers marching, with their red capes... it was quite the spectacle...

then, of course, the chariot race...Image

It might be a good idea to get a mural of such a shot, for home decor:

Hey, I'm actually planning on getting that mural for my home! It would be positioned on the wall over our couch where we watch all our movies.

Whoa! :o Some amazing pictures you posted there, Chrysagon. Several of which I hadn't seen before. This was my favorite:
