This is an interesting project by Chuck, but it hardly gets mentioned in fansites. It is a good collectible, indeed. Here is an image, along with some information--

Quick Overview (from the link- http://collectorsshangri-la.com/index.p ... eston.html)

Charlton Heston recounts his experiences directing The Caine Mutiny Court-Martial at the People's Art Theater in China in 1988. Fine unread edition from Easton Press.

That would be an awesome piece in any Chuck fan's collection.

Would it be possible for you to take a photo of the front page of your copy and post it here? And publication details?

You can also see the front/back cover and the description about the book via

heston-s-bibliography-t314.html

I posted them a few months ago.

Just came across this eBay sale of Heston's In The Arena, a signed copy, which sold a few days ago for $39.00: http://www.ebay.com/itm/SIGNED-Charlton ... 7675.l2557

The question (which I don't have the answer to) is - is that his actual signature or his secretary's ? I would think that for something like a book, he himself would sign it.

It depends how it was signed. It's not uncommon for fans and collectors to send books to have them signed. If that's what the seller did, it may be a secretarial.

I hope Mr. Byrne can confirm it, he is the most experienced person among us to have seen Heston signed a lot of things in front of his own eyes.

I would say that Charlton Heston autograph is 100% genuine. I have loads of books and brochures signed by Chuck in person and they are virtually the same as the one in the photo.
